His passion for paragliding began during childhood. He started learning to paraglide at the age of 8 and made his first solo flights at just 10 years old.Today, Shubam has 20 years of experience in paragliding and thousands of flights under his belt. He flies both solo and tandem and knows the different flying environments across Mauritius. This experience allows him to adapt each flight to the conditions of the day and to the person he is flying with.Shubam speaks French, English and Creole, making it easy to communicate with passengers and clearly explain every step of their experience.
At Mauritius Tandem Paragliding, safety is at the heart of every flight.Weather and aerological conditions are a priority before any decision to take off. Paragliding depends directly on natural conditions: wind, thermals and their evolution must all be taken into account to determine whether conditions are suitable for flying safely.The flying site is also chosen according to the conditions encountered on the day. Our goal is to prioritise appropriate flying conditions rather than trying to fly at all costs.Each passenger is fitted with a tandem harness equipped with an airbag. The equipment used for flights, including the wing and harness, is regularly maintained and inspected to ensure that it remains in good condition and reliable.Before every takeoff, a briefing is given to the passenger. The instructions are explained simply so that everyone knows how to prepare for takeoff and what to expect during the flight.
