Mauritius is one of the most spectacular destinations for paragliding. Few places allow you to fly above crystal-clear lagoons, volcanic mountains, white sandy beaches and such diverse landscapes during a single flight.Depending on the selected launch site, you may admire Le Morne Brabant, the western mountain ranges, lush green hills and the famous Underwater Waterfall illusion, which can only be appreciated from the sky.Every flight is unique. Weather conditions, sunlight and the atmosphere of the day combine to create a different experience for every passenger.
Mauritius Tandem Paragliding operates from several locations, including our main flying sites at Le Morne, Chamarel, Quatre Sœurs and Montagne Longue.Depending on weather conditions, aerology, pilot experience and the possibilities available on the day, we may also fly in other areas of Mauritius.Other flying sites and environments we are familiar with include Gris Gris, Le Pouce, Corps de Garde and Pieter Both.
Located in the south of Mauritius, Gris Gris offers a very different environment from the island’s more traditional mountain flying sites.This area can provide opportunities for coastal soaring, using air movements generated by the terrain and cliffs overlooking the ocean. The dramatic coastline and the wild atmosphere of this part of the island create a distinctive flying experience.
The mountains of Le Pouce and Pieter Both are among the most recognisable natural landmarks in Mauritius.Depending on the conditions and available opportunities, their mountainous surroundings may offer possibilities for flights above the island’s inland landscapes.These locations are more technical, and their suitability depends heavily on aerological conditions and pilot experience. They are therefore not necessarily used for tourist tandem flights.
Corps de Garde, located in the western highlands of Mauritius, offers another distinctive flying environment.Its rugged terrain and geographical position can provide opportunities, when conditions are favourable, to discover a different part of the Mauritian landscape from the air.

It depends primarily on wind direction and strength, aerological conditions, site accessibility and the safety conditions on the day.Our objective is always to identify the most suitable flying site for the prevailing conditions, providing the best possible paragliding experience.A location may be ideal one day and unsuitable the next. This flexibility allows us to adapt to the natural conditions across Mauritius.
